THE CORTEZ IS 40

The Nike Cortez just turned 40 and to celebrate Nike collaborated with art and sole who got four artists to create a work of art to cover the book that accompanied a limited colour way Cortez. Along with the book comes a Cortez shaped usb fob complete with a film by one of the artists and old friend, Shantell Martin.

The good guys at Nike have kindly put a pair of the Matthew Nicholson editions my way.

LET THE GAMES BEGIN

So I swung by the Nike offices this week with Carri ( Cassette Playa ) and picked up our Fuelbands. Now with it being Good Friday I am in the studio but taking it pretty easy and is as good a time as any to get this thing set up.

ELECTRIC WIZARD

Last night I went to the forum with a crowd of friends to see Electric Wizard. With amazing visuals and 6 minute songs of noise thy didn’t disappoint.

RRL x WIL BILL x FILMAID

Last night I went with my two brothers to the beautifully executed RRL store on Mount Street for a few drinks and then hopped on an old Route Master bus which took us all to the Soho Hotel for a screening of Dexter Fletchers new movie, Wild Bill and all in aid of Filmaid.

Thankyou RRL for the gift bag, my studio now smells great.

THE NEW ORDER

My friend Carri (Cassette Playa) swung by yesterday to drop off some jewellery she had borrowed for a music video and gave me a copy of The New Order magazine.
A few months back Carri produced an article in the magazine which featured male friends she considered to represent what it is to be a British man in 2011.Showing young men that work hard to achieve their goals and pave their own way within their fields.

I was touched to be one of the men she chose.
